Café
The cafe at Harpefoss hotel is open every weekend from 11am to 4pm, from the beginning of May to the end of October. Summer opening hours are Wednesday–Sunday, from the end of June to mid-August.
In the cafe, we offer a simple, homemade and tasty lunch menu with toast, waffles and carrot cake, in addition to other selected products from local food producers and organic beverages.
Rent premises
and catering
Premises for courses, parties and meetings can be rented in the banquet hall on the 2nd floor or the cafe on the 1st floor. We adapt to your event and cover both company and simple catering if you wish.
Capacity is 40 people in the banquet hall and 40 people in the café. It is entirely possible to combine both premises, e.g. meeting in the banquet hall and serving in the cafe.
A speaker and video projector are available in the room, other technical equipment must be rented.
We can offer serving from the cafe menu. For dinner service etc. can we recommend first-class food delivered by Engel Konditor and catering at Vinstra.

Price: NOK 3,000 per day for either the ball room or café (without serving).
Supplement for setting up and serving staff; NOK 500 per hour (scope by agreement).

Accommodation
If you need accommodation, we have a loft apartment with its own kitchen and bathroom on the hotel’s 3rd floor. The apartment has one large and one small bedroom with 5 beds in total. Unfortunately, the apartment is not suitable for people who have difficulty moving up and down stairs.
Basic price for accommodation is NOK 1,500 per day (applies to 1 person + NOK 200 per additional person) and includes breakfast in the cafe. Children under the age of one stay for free.

Experiences
Art exhibitions and concerts at the Harpefoss art arena are organized all year round, but we also have monthly quiz nights and other events in the cafe and the party hall. Follow our Facebook page for news updates.
Other experiences and attractions at the Harpefoss hotel are Okulus, an architect-designed walkway and cultural facility by the Harpefoss Gorge. Okulus is 300 meters from the hotel and is open all year round. Okulus has a universal design and free access except for events with ticket sales.
Oktagon art installation is located at the natural gem Klokkarstranda/ Strandtjønn at the outlet of Harpefossjuvet, 10 minutes’ walk from the hotel. Read more about both projects here: stedskunst.no
Do you want to see how Harpefossjuvet and the station center looked like 100 years ago, with shop buildings, hotels, horse tracks and stone bridges, and not least with Harpefoss train station in full operation? Next to the cafe, you can see Martin Skriubacken’s three-metre long, lifelike model of the canyon and the buildings as they looked in the first years after the railway arrived in 1896.
