Concert symposium

INTERLUDE for moving solo cellist is a work that explores the borderland between sound and movement – this dynamic dialogue between the physical and the auditory, the visual and the aural, the concrete and the abstract. This ambiguous zone between movement and sound can create a perceptual ambivalence, it is this in-between state that I am trying to explore. The cello body, the musician’s body, sound and movement are here equated as material, and the goal is to capture and investigate what this in-between state can contain.
