LYDREISE TRIO

Welcome to the concert on June 12th and sound walk on June 11th with Sigurd Hole, Frode Haltli and Helga Myhr at Harpefoss hotel!

In Lydreise, the audience is invited on a musical journey in three parts that explores our memory of sound, and of music. Part 3 summarizes the journey in one concert, where all three different parts are performed by a trio consisting of composer Sigurd Hole on double bass, Helga Myhr on Hardanger fiddle and vocals, and Frode Haltli on accordion. The music is located at the intersection of jazz, folk music and contemporary classical music. Lydreise is thus a project that also seeks new connections between past, present – and future in terms of genre.

On Thursday, June 12th at 7:00 PM, the work Lydreise, part III (by Sigurd Hole) will be premiered at Harpefoss hotel. The day before, June 11th at 5:30 PM, the audience is invited to experience a small taste of the music in the form of a sound walk in Okulus through the sound of the various instruments. The musicians Frode Haltli (accordion), Helga Myhr (Harding fiddle and vocals) and Sigurd Hole (double bass) will be placed at various locations in Okulus. Together they explore the sound that arises in the space between the instruments, between the tree trunks, in an improvised approach to different elements of the music from Lydreise. The audience can move freely on the walkway during the sound walk, which lasts about 15 minutes.

Tickets for the sound walk on June 11th are  100,- for adults, free admission for children/young people.
